2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 14-15, "But I fear, least by any means as the serpent beguilied Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye had not accepted, ye might well bear with him. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." More warnings from the apostles, that there would be another Jesus, another gospel, and another spirit, that the apostles did not know. Satan creeping in as a form of a minister of righteousness, deceiving and seducing many souls. For Satan is a religious beast and he wants to be worshiped as God.

Isaiah 14:12-15, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou has said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. " The way to be worshiped as God is to destroy the true foundation of the church and infiltrate the church with his own doctrines, doctrines of devils. 1 Timothy 4:1-2, "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. " In most churches, Satan has them in possession, by his own doctrines. Ezekiel 36:2, "Thus saith the Lord God; because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are our's in possession. "

The apostles warnings and prophecies have come to pass. Since the early apostles died, "After my departing", those who call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ fell away from the pure doctrine of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. History rightly names this falling away as the Dark Ages. God in his mercy is bringing the church back to it's original state.

The reformation period in history does show how God is bringing back his beautiful doctrine of the original church. But each time God gave to man the truth of his word, man was content to stop with a crumb from the doctrine of God and not to continue in truth. 2 Peter 3:18, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ... " The results of not continuing in truth is what we have today, churches, churches, and even more churches, with truth mingled in with doctrines of devils, doctrines of men, and traditions of men. The condition of the church today is the result of the falling away. Those who call upon the name of the Lord are sickly and weak spiritually, because the foundation is destroyed and what can the righteous do?
